The Mighty Daughter Who Made Her Dad Jealous.

Writing Task:  14.02.13

Write a short story using this image as your inspiration.

Think about:  What is happening here?  What lead to this situation?  What is going to happen next?  Who are these people?  How do they know each other?

A Mighty little  girl helps her dad.
One boring day, dad decided to mop the floor since he had nothing to do on a Saturday. However, he couldn’t get under the couch by himself. Jennie dad’s youngest daughter in the family decided to help out and lift the couch for him.

Jennie was tough and strong. She lifted the couch with all her strength but didn’t show any struggle in her face. She made it look like it was easy to lift the couch.
She looked like superwoman lifting a building to let the people free.
Dad was so amazed he thought he was dreaming, he rubbed his eyes in confusion and asked her “How did you do that”? With shock. “Easy peasy apple pie.”Sshe replied still holding the couch in her little hands.

She put the couch down slowly smiling at her dad “Do you want me to lift the other couch for you”? Jennie ask him. “Nooo it’s ok i’ll lift it myself later let’s go get something to eat.” He replied back feeling jealous she could lift a couch without any struggle.
“Ok” She said happily. Then left to get something to eat.

Mark Lowndes

On Wednesday 13th of February, we were lucky enough to interview Mark Lowndes. He is famous for his appearance in Australia's Got Talent. Miss Aireen organised our interview, which we did online using Google chat. I learnt that Mark lowndes been singing 12 years, His mother Inspired him to sing, he came from a musical family, he opened for Boys 2 Men and he also wrote poetry. He left us with the message to believe in ourselves and follow our dreams. I felt lucky to meet him and inspired me a lot than I thought.

My name is Fili Rosa and I’m 12 years old I have light brown eyes and short black hair. I’m half Tongan and half Samoan.I have four brothers and I’m the only girl. I’m a giggly girl I laugh a lot even when nothing is funny at all.I love hanging with my dad in the weekend because that’s the only special time we can have a father and daughter time without any people bugging us.I love cooking for my family sometimes when I feel like cooking and sometimes I’m just lazy to even get out of bed. I’m the second to last youngest child in the family. I love praying with my family, it’s a time we can worship and say bible verses, say prayer and that is a time we spend time together as family I'ma Year 8 student at Tamaki Primary School.

My family is a funky family. Sometimes they are upset but all the time they are happy. They love their island food.My mum is a house wife all the time. My dad is a chef at Mission Bay in a restaurant called Mamma Mia. My two oldest brothers are in Australia. My 3rd oldest brother is at a boarding school at Pukekohe called Wesley College. My little brother is a year 5 student at Tamaki Primary School too. I live in Point England, Auckland. I used to live in Panmure since me and all my brothers were born. We loved living in that house but when I hit 10 years it was goodbye old house and hello new house. I never wanted to move in the first place. I tried talking my parents out of it but they still continued with the moving houses. My hobby is learning how to play guitar, I love playing piano, singing but never sing in front of people. I love doing the island dance when it comes to birthdays, weddings, and other occasions. I love cooking. My number #1 hobby is that I love learning subjects like Reading and Writing.

My number one hope is to leave Tamaki Primary School achieving all my goals and have a good attitude during class, but most of all is all my hope is to get a good report and get to the National Standard. I hope it is, and to make my father really proud. My fears are trying new things at T.P.S and getting distracted a lot and how it might affect my report.
